In this vital role, he oversees the church’s financial stewardship, ensuring that all financial matters are managed with integrity, accountability, and transparency. His work is foundational to the church’s operations and crucial in sustaining its mission and vision. While Minister Ford’s leadership is greatly valued, it is important to recognize the dedication of those who held this position before him. Additionally, he is the Special Projects Coordinator and co-leads the Property Management team, overseeing the church’s physical needs and growth.
A faithful servant of God, Minister Ford was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ at the age of 12 and received the baptism of the Holy Ghost the very next Sunday at Kings Chapel in Montego Bay, St. James, under the leadership of the late Bishop Palmer.
His unwavering commitment to his church and his family is a testament to his dedication to serving God and the community with excellence, integrity, and a deep sense of responsibility.
Receivables and Payables Department
The Receivables and Payables Department is critical in ensuring the financial health and smooth operation of Bethlehem United Church of Jesus Christ (Apostolic). This department handles all incoming and outgoing financial transactions, ensuring that timely and accurate financial management supports the church’s operations.
The Receivables team is responsible for tracking and managing the funds coming into the church. This includes processing tithes, offerings, donations, and other financial contributions. They ensure that all incoming funds are recorded accurately and deposited on time, allowing the church to continue its ministries and community services without delay. This team also follows up on any outstanding payments and maintains clear records of all transactions to ensure transparency.
On the other hand, the Payables team oversees the church’s outgoing financial obligations. They are responsible for paying bills, managing vendor contracts, and ensuring that all services rendered to the church are properly compensated. This team ensures that payments are made on time, keeps the church in good standing with its service providers, and ensures that the church’s financial commitments are fulfilled.
Together, these two teams ensure that the church’s finances are carefully managed, allowing the ministry to thrive and continue serving the community and fulfilling its mission. Their diligent work supports the church’s financial health, providing the resources needed for its spiritual and community-focused initiatives.
